Munches Park is part of Community Integrated Care, one of Britain’s biggest and most successful social care charities and has supported older people for over 3 decades. It is proud to deliver specialist residential and nursing care that supports people living with age-related needs and dementia to lead full and happy lives, through our EachStep Care model.

Munches Park is a 29 bed care home on the outskirts of Dalbeattie in South West Scotland. We provide specialist residential and nursing care to older people and people living with dementia. We are proud to deliver support in your area, as part of the award-winning national social care charity Community Integrated Care.

Home Comforts

Munches Park is a warm, welcoming and friendly home that has some very special features. Our home has wonderful spaces to relax in and enjoy company, including an activities room, lounges and dining rooms as well our hairdressing salon which is popular with all our residents. As a specialist dementia service, our furnishings and lighting are purpose designed to meet the needs of people we support.

Residents have their own comfortable and spacious en-suite bedroom, which can be personalised to their tastes.

We have a beautiful accessibe garden, which residents loves to relaxation and enjoy outdoors activities with family and friends.

An Active Life

At Munches Park, we run an extensive activity programme and support people to enjoy days out in the community too. By getting to know our residents, we are able to offer activities that meet their different passions and interests.

Residents enjoy fun one-to-one and group activities, such as baking, reminiscence sessions, cinema, bingo, flower arranging and pamper sessions. We have recently worked on an arts project ‘ Roon the Toon’, which resident really enjoyed.

We have regular social events for people we support and their families, including performances from local entertainers.

Food and Nutrition

Mealtimes represent an important social occasion for our residents and we work to ensure they are as enjoyable as possible, unhurried and relaxed with residents being given plenty of time to eat and enjoy their meal.

Our chefs prepare nutritious and delicious meals, which are freshly made in the home. We also support people who have specialist diets.

Person Centred Support

We are committed to providing personalised support that ensures our residents lead active, happy and fulfilled lives. All staff receive specialist training and mentoring. We really get to know our residents and spend time understanding their life story and the things that are important to them, so we focus on the things that really matter to them. Every resident has a named key worker who helps develop their own personalised care.

We hold a regular forum with residents, enabling them to voice their views on the day-to-day running of our home.
